Reinstalling Windows

⚠️ Reinstalling Windows will lead to data loss


ISO installation

1. Download Windows 10 / 11

  1. Download Media Creation Tool from the link above — click the Download Now button

  2. Open the Media Creation Tool

  3. Select the option: Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC

  4. Keep the recommended settings by default

  5. Choose ISO file

  6. Specify a folder to save the ISO

  7. When the ISO is ready — download Rufus: 👉 Rufus 4.5


2. Create bootable USB with Rufus

  1. Open Rufus and select the following settings:

    • Click Select and go to the directory where you saved the ISO

    • Device – choose your USB flash drive (8 GB or larger)

    • Select the last two options

  2. Click OK and wait for Rufus to finish formatting the USB flash drive

3. Download Wi-Fi drivers

  1. Before continuing, if you use Wi-Fi — be sure to download the Wi-Fi drivers onto the flash drive.

  2. Drivers can be downloaded from your motherboard manufacturer's website.

  3. To find out the motherboard model:

    • Press Win + R

    • Type msinfo32

    • Find it in the window that opens


4. Boot from USB

  1. Hold SHIFT and click Restart

  1. Choose Use a device and select your flash drive

  1. Choose Windows 10 Pro

  1. Select I don't have a product key (if this doesn't appear — don't worry)

  1. Choose Custom: install Windows only (advanced)


5. Clean the disks

  1. Press SHIFT + F10

  2. Type diskpart in the command prompt

  3. Enter select disk # (where # is the number of each disk) and clean for every disk except the flash drive

⚠️ Your flash drive is most likely the last disk in the list (DO NOT DELETE IT)

  1. Close the command prompt and click “Refresh”

  1. Select the primary disk and click “Next”

  2. The installation process will begin
